In partnership with Wigan Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Steering Group, we (Wigan Council) want to commission the development of a new Wigan Borough Equality Strategy. The process of developing this strategy and the strategy itself will allow us to:
• know our communities better.
• to understand their strengths and celebrate our differences.
• to understand where inequality exists, how it is experienced and how we can work together to address it.
• to agree a set of boroughwide priorities we can work on together, as communities, Council and partners.
