ILM Access to Work funding

If your business is growing and its time to recruit, St Helens Chamber may have funding available to subsidise costs for an unemployed person’s first six months with a company*. Our support will take the hassle out of hiring someone new, leaving you to focus on training your staff and getting them settled in your business.

What is ILM funding?

ILM funding helps support businesses with hiring unemployed people from the Liverpool City Region & Halton. The funding helps businesses invest in local communities by creating jobs for unemployed local residents, plus employers will have access to industry-led training courses delivered by St Helens Chamber to ensure new recruits are trained to the highest standards.

Eligibility criteria for ILM funding

  • The potential recruit must currently be unemployed
  • The potential recruit must live in the Liverpool City Region & Halton
  • The business needs to be based in the Liverpool City Region or Halton
  • The potential recruit must be aged between 16-29

Extra business support with ILM funding

Businesses accessing the ILM funding will not only benefit from a subsidy for placement costs, St Helens Chamber will also deal with all related administration and payroll for the new recruit – leaving business owners to focus on finding and training the right person for the job.
You’ll be supported every step of the way and will have all the resources you need to successfully train an unemployed person who can become an asset to your business.
