The Chamber’s most exclusive event of the year, The Annual Dinner Dance will be taking place on the 19th January at Haydock Park Racecourse.
Join us and special guest speaker, St Helens’ very own comedian and actor, Johnny Vegas. Known for his roles in Benidorm, BBC Dickens Adaptations and the PG tips ads, Johnny Vegas has become one of Britain’s best-loved comic actors.
But before he came to fame, Johnny Vegas attended Catholic boarding-school St Joseph’s College to train for the priesthood. Feeling homesick, he returned home after just four terms.
He later went on to Graduate from Middlesex University with a degree in art and ceramics before returning home and taking several short-term jobs. Between 1994-1997 he became a member of comedy performance group Cluub Zarathustra before making his first TV debut in 1996.
If you would like to hear more about his journey into fame and how this eleven-year-old trainee Catholic priest from St Helens grew up to become one of the country’s best loved comic actors then this event is not to be missed!
