Who is the Adult Care Worker (Level 2 Standard) for?

Staff working in junior roles or just starting their career in Adult Care. This qualification is for those looking to build the fundamental skills they need to work in the industry.

What will Adult Care Worker (Level 2 Standard) Apprentices study?

The Adult Care Worker Level 2 Standard is a varied training programme where students will learn the fundamental knowledge and skills they need to work in the Adult Care industry.

Students will also work towards meeting the 15 standards as set out in the Care Certificate on completion.

Topics covered include:

  • The importance of having the right values and behaviours
  • How to promote health and wellbeing
  • How to work professionally
  • Supporting individuals to remain safe from harm (safeguarding)
Where will the Apprenticeship training take place?

This will be a mixture of development in the workplace, independent learning, remote visits and knowledge training session at our premises in Liverpool & St Helens and via virtual learning platforms.

Progression Opportunities for Adult Care Worker (Level 2 Standard) Apprentices

On successful completion, Apprentices could progress onto the Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship Standard with the option to complete a Level 3 qualification, or a Level 4 qualification with the  Lead Practitioner in Adult Care.
