Young Managers Club

The Young Managers Club brings together young managers and explores a range of development and training issues, as well as networking and mentoring opportunities. Whether it is advice on managing people, dealing with senior colleagues, report writing or team building, the Young Managers Club builds the confidence of young managers and helps them develop crucial leadership and management skills.

Women Into Management

Women are still under-represented in managerial roles. A recent survey by OpportunityNow found that only 18 per cent of managers were women.

The Women Into Management (WIM) programme is aimed at encouraging women to consider management as a career option, as well as providing those already in managerial positions with
relevant qualifications.

In addition to core management skills, WIM includes training in confidence building, assertiveness, business image, presentation skills, personal protection and continuing
professional development.

We also offer the St Helens Business Women’s Forum, a professional support forum for local women managers. Aimed at inspiring and motivating women managers, the Forum provides
advice and support, mentoring/work shadowing opportunities, personal and business development support and guest speakers at its monthly meetings.
