Our business start up seminars provide training to help you start and grow your business. They are friendly, informal and provide a great opportunity to meet and share experiences with people in similar situations to you.
They are aimed at people with a new business idea and for those with newly started businesses. You will learn how to explore the viability of the business; how to get organised and keep control of your new business and get practical advice on the business planning process.
Sessions cover:
The seminars are delivered over six sessions, each approximately three hours long. We try to be as flexible as possible so you will have the option to attend either at 9.30am on Tuesdays or at 5.30pm on Wednesdays.
The seminars are led by our experienced team of advisers, who all have strong business experience, having owned their own businesses in a variety of sectors and industries.
Guest speakers include experts in trading standards, revenue and customs and banking and their talks focus on the specific areas of expertise.
The seminars run year round and are held at the Chamber. You do not need any previous knowledge or computer skills to attend.
