Mentoring
Our mentoring service is available to start up businesses regarded as 'high growth'. A 'high growth' business is one that, from the time it is formed, operates from commercial premises and employs staff.
Our Business Mentors all have personal experience of both running and growing their own businesses or working in corporate environments. They are also fully accredited to the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative (SFEDI) for business advisers.
Mentors provide a supportive role and can draw on their extensive experience and knowledge to assist you to grow your business.
They have experienced many of the 'growing pains' typical of those faced by new entrepreneurs and have the understanding and knowledge to suggest strategies to achieve success.
We will start by discussing your business idea with you and help you produce a viable business plan. If your plan suggests that your business has potential for higher growth, you may be able to present to a 'funding panel' to get a higher level of grant funding. Your mentor will support you fully throughout this process.
They will coach you in 'good business practices' and help you to make the most of business opportunities, as well as providing general support to assist you to achieve your goals.
Your dedicated mentor will continue to provide support and monitoring for three years following start up, coaching and guiding you throughout your journey. Of course, you can be assured of confidentiality at all times.
