If
you are planning a home extension or carrying out a
small building project, you will probably need to apply
for planning permission from your local authority. They
may require up to six site maps, which Siteplan can
provide. Siteplan can also be used for insurance claims,
conveyancing, home referencing or can be used in presentations
or reports.
OS Landplan®
Landplan
is a 1:10 000 scale digitally derived colour mapping
which has changed the way graphic mapping can be produced.
It works by combining map and database information.
Landplan is used by businesses, schools and home users
for a great variety of purposes for example project
planning, conveyancing, gifts etc.
Aerial
Photography
Aerial
photographs show you a new perspective – a birds-eye
view of the use of your chosen location during daylight
hours. With superb clarity and sharpness, they clearly
show you surface features – buildings, boundaries,
water features and vegetation – not as symbols
but as they really look. It gives you the real picture,
providing essential information that cannot be represented
on our conventional maps – for example, whereas
our maps present detailed information on empty roads,
our aerial photograph can demonstrate the impact that
car parking along the same roads has on pedestrian or
traffic access. There are a whole range of uses including
investigating boundary disputes, reference and educational
resource purposes, boardroom presentation (frame prints)
or simply purchase for a gift.
Historical
Mapping
In
just under 150 years – from the time of the Crimean
War to the present day – the landscape of England,
Wales and Scotland has changed dramatically. OS have
a huge archive of 1.5 million maps. They are ideal if
you are looking for changes to historic buildings or
landscapes, or to ensure there are no hidden features
such as concealed mineshafts. So whether you are an
academic, solicitor, environmental consultant or property
developer, St Helens Chamber can help you find the historical
map you need.
