As well as supporting the businesses of today, we are also working to sustain the St Helens business community and economy of tomorrow. From our business start up programme to our enterprise activities in schools, encouraging entrepreneurship is vital to secure the long term success of St Helens.
How we can help:
- Our business start up service provides expert advice, support, mentoring and grants of up to £5000.
- The Enterprise Greenhouse, provides new entrepreneurs with the opportunity to run their businesses in high quality premises at discounted rates.
- The Young Entrepreneur's Chamber provides regular informal meetings for young people who are keen to test out their entrepreneurial skills and meet with other budding entrepreneurs who either have an idea for a business or are in the early stages of running a business.
- Our Enterprising St Helens programme gives children and young people the opportunity to experience business, enterprise and life beyond the classroom. The Business Ambassadors programme encourages business people to get involved and share their experiences. We also work with businesses to provide over 2,000 work experience placements for school children or year 11 pupils each year.
